How to Enable Web Search in AICamp
With AICamp’s Web Search feature, you can search the web directly from the platform, making it easy to access live information. To enable this feature, you’ll need two things from Google’s Programmable Search Engine:
Search Engine ID
Custom Search API Key
Follow these steps to get started:
Step 1: Set Up a Programmable Search Engine
Go to Programmable Search Engine and click Get Started.
Create a New Search Engine:
Enter a name for your search engine.
In the "Sites to search" section, select Search the entire web to enable web-wide searching.
3. Once created, go to your new search engine's settings and click Customize.
4. Copy the Search Engine ID:
In the settings page, find the Search Engine ID under Setup.
Copy this ID and save it in a safe place—you’ll need it for AICamp.
Step 2: Configure Search Features
Scroll down to the Search features section.
Enable both Image Search and Web Search for a comprehensive search experience.
Step 3: Enable Programmatic Access and Get Your API Key
1. Scroll down to Programmatic Access and click Get started.
2. Select Get a Key to generate your Custom Search API key:
Create a New Project: You’ll be prompted to create a project to associate with the API.
Click Next, and an API key will be generated.
3. Copy the API Key and save it securely alongside your Search Engine ID.
Step 4: Enter the Search Engine ID and API Key in AICamp
Log in to AICamp and go to Admin Settings.
Click on the AI Plugin icon in the top left corner.
